EDS Awareness day 31

Day 31 – How Can Others Raise Awareness

Today is the last day of Ehlers Danlos awareness month.

WE MADE IT!!!

I must admit I am quite proud.

Today will be my last daily post for a bit. I will still be blogging just not daily. Daily is a lot! Especially while dealing with chronic illness.

This was the promise I made to myself that I would not break. I wanted to write a blog every day of EDS awareness month and I did it! I really hope someone was able to learn something.

For the last day I want to focus on other ways to spread awareness.

The other one I worked hard on was contacting the CN Tower in Toronto. They lit the tower up in black and white on May 21st. I was so happy to see the muted colors of the cn tower. It wasnt flashy, but neither is EDS. It lurks in the shadows and hides, causing problems until it eventually gets found. It took me over 40 years to understand what was going on in my body and I am so glad I did. I want to help others find the answers they need by spreading awareness. Is there a buildidng or monument near you that you could request to be lit up? The answer just might surprise you.

Some other warriors I know create memes about life with EDS because we gotta laugh! These memes get me and many others through some of the hardest days with thesee illnesses. Although laughing can be quite painful sometimes it is still one of my favorite things. Anything that can make me full on belly laugh is the absolute best.

Living with a chronic illness makes you have to get creative with everything you do. So it is no surprise to me how creative chronic illness warriors are.  Chronic illness warriors make so many creative shirts, stickers, pins, mugs etc. to raise awareness. You can go to Etsy and search EDS awareness and find just about anything your heart could desire and bonus your helping a small buisness thrive.

Family, friends, colleagues, classmates and even your social media networks may want to raise awareness of the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes and hypermobility spectrum disorders, but where do they start? Find awareness materials here to share!

Then Join us on facebook and let us know how YOU share awareness 💓

I see you...
I hear you...
and I am so glad you are here 💓
