Happy new year a couple weeks late

New year, new you...Right?

How about maybe we try something . . .
a little different this year.

Maybe this year can be the year of self-love. The year we finally recognize the things we accomplish every day. Even if it is just a day of rest. I don't know about you but I have spent most of my life being told what to do, what to think, how to be....with a body that just wont cooperate.

So many rules, so many expectations....

I want this year to be different!

This year lets parctice

Here are some suggestions to try to be just a little kinder to yourself this year...

1. Practice self-care! Prioritize activities that promote your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This can include regular exercise your body can handle, eating as healthy as you can each day, and getting the amount of sleep YOU need. Make sure you are taking time to engage in activities you enjoy and don't steal all your energy. Things that bring you joy and relaxation.

2. Set Boundaries! Learn to say no and not feel bad about it. You know what drains your battery and you need to protect it the best you can. Stick to your values and priorities to keep your spirits up.

3. Practice Self-compassion! Treat yourself with the love and kindness you would show others, Especially during more challenging times like flairs and bad days. Acknowledge your strengths and achievements no matter how small you may think they are. Be gentle with yourself when you face setbacks or mistakes.

4. Prioritize your needs the best you can. Having 7 kiddos myself, I know that is easier said than done sometimes, really try your best. Make time for activities that nourish your soul and brings you happiness. Whether it's pursuing a hobby, spending time in nature, or just simply taking a break to breathe for a moment. Prioritize activities that bring you joy and fulfillment. I find helping and encouraging others very fulfilling and uplifting.

5. Surround yourself with positive influences! Surround yourself the best you can with people who uplift and support you. Seek out relationships that are healthy and nurturing. Distance yourself from toxic or negative influences. They really have a way of draining our batteries.

6. Practice mindfulness! Take time to be present and in the moment to cultivate self-awareness. Mindfulness can help you better understand your emotions and why you feel the way you do. It helps you understand your thoughts, and needs as well as allowing you to make choices that align with your values.

Remember, Self-love is an ongoing journey. It is important to be patient and kind to yourself as you navigate through it.
